Cashback

With the Cashback Scheme you get money back to your card account from the first euro spent anywhere (e.g petrol station, restaurant, supermarket, hotels etc). The scheme is valid for American Express Green Cashback and American Express Gold Cashback cards.

How does the Scheme Work?

• When you apply for the American Express Green Cashback or the American Express Gold Cashback card, you automatically participate at the Cashback Scheme
• You start getting money back to your card account with every euro spent on purchases made with you card
• The cashback scheme is valid only for transactions made in Cyprus
• Your card account will be credited every three months
• You get money back to your card account with every euro spent anywhere in Cyprus

Sunmiles

Our Sunmiles scheme is associated with our American Express cards and the loyalty programme of Cyprus Airways. It allows you to earn SunMiles points with every purchase – you also enjoy travel privileges as a valued member of Cyprus Airways.

The revised Sunmiles American Express Scheme

As from April you will continue to earn Sunmiles points on Cyprus Airways flight purchases and enjoy a range of travel discounts and benefits.
Moreover, you earn more points by using your card for everyday purchases (supermarkets, restaurants, petrol etc...)
So you enjoy the privilege of traveling with Cyprus Airways more and more. 

How does the Sunmiles scheme work?

• you earn up to 1 Sunmiles point for every €1 spent on all purchases with your Sunmiles American Express card
• you earn additional Sunmiles points every time you pay for your Cyprus Airways tickets with your Sunmiles American Express card (up to 9 Sunmiles points for every €1 that do not include airport taxes, service fee and other charges).
• your Sunmiles points must be redeemed within 4 years as long as you remain a holder of an active Sunmiles American Express
• the maximum number of Sunmiles points you earn – when you pay for taxes and fees to governmental departments (including post office fees) or for utility company bills – is 9,000 per transaction

AlphaMega

The AlphaMega American Express scheme gives you 1% Cash Back on any purchase. For every €15 of purchases you receive 1 point towards the HyperCard scheme of AlphaMega.

How does the scheme work?

• Every three months, you will receive by mail a voucher equivalent to 1% of all purchases that you’ve made with your Blue, Green, Gold American Express card.
• You can redeem your voucher at the cashiers at the Alphamega Hypermarkets within one year of the date of issue. You will receive this voucher provided that its value is of €9 or more. If the value is less than €9, your transactions will be carried forward to the next quarter.
• In addition, you will receive a “points voucher” with the HyperCard points that you are entitled to, since for every €15 you receive 1 HyperCard point.

Do all transactions earn AlphaMega points?

No. The following transactions are excluded from the AlphaMega scheme:

• Transactions for the payment of taxes and fees to governmental departments (including post office fees) and payment of utility company bills are excluded from the AlphaMega scheme.
• Also excluded are transaction that don’t involve purchasing, including cash withdrawals in Cyprus or abroad, deposit of cash or cheques, standing orders, reversal of charge or credit, bank charges, payment on interest rate charges.

More than 450 merchandisers, in Cyprus and abroad, participate in our Selects reward scheme. You can benefit from discounts in:

• recreation and travel: travel agencies and hotels
• shops: clothes shops, shoe shops and optical shops
• restaurants.

The Selects scheme includes over 5,000 offers in more than 70 countries worldwide. This is a scheme worth considering!

How does the scheme work?

• You get the discount by simply using your American Express card, without having to register or report your purchase.

Ekptometro

Ekptometro is a discount scheme which allows you to pay less for your shopping, by using any Bank of Cyprus card. We have selected a wide range of small and large enterprises in Cyprus where you get special discounts every time you use your card for your purchases.
