American Express – our ‘classic’ collection

You have the choice of American Express Blue, Green or Gold depending on your income and preferences. They all come with exclusive benefits including the attractive option to join the AlphaMega American Express scheme through which you receive 1% return on all your purchases made with your card in the form of a voucher to use at the AlphaMega Hypermarkets. We offer our classic cards at the following annual fees:

• Blue American Express at €17
• Green American Express at €50
• Gold American Express at €85

American Express Pocket Money (prepaid)

You don’t have to worry about your children’s pocket money any more. Our Pocket Money American Express card, designed for teenagers aged 12 and over, gives your child the opportunity to manage his/her own allowance. All you have to do is agree with your child about his/her spending limit – how they use it, is up to them!

Key features and benefits

• we set no credit limit – your child can withdraw any amount from your account in cash or by direct debit (however, we don’t offer an overdraft facility)
• free access to 1bank (our online and phone banking service), so that both teenagers and their parents or guardians can get up-to-date information on the account

Your bank on your mobile

SMS Care enables you to stay informed and up-to-date about your financial activities and about our new products or services.

• transactions you’ve made with your cards (debit or credit). After a transaction, we send you an SMS message to your mobile phone notifying you on the amount, thus eliminating any fraud worries.
• your account's available balance daily, weekly or monthly – you have the option to receive the message in the morning, noon, or afternoon / night

We stand by you if your cards are lost or stolen abroad

If you travel with your Amex card and you either lose or have it stolen, don’t worry! We’ll provide help immediately:

• we will issue a temporary card and deliver it to you wherever you are in the world within 24 hours
• we will provide you with emergency cash advance: an amount of up to US $5,000 in local currency, wherever you are in the world, to cover your needs until you come back home.
